Introduction to CMMI V1.3

This three-day course introduces systems and software engineering managers and practitioners, appraisal team members, and process group (e.g., SEPG, EPG) members to CMMI fundamental concepts. CMMI for Development (CMMI-DEV) models are tools that help organizations improve their ability to develop and maintain quality products and services. CMMI-DEV models are an integration of best practices from proven discipline-specific process improvement models, including the CMM for Software, EIA 731, and the Integrated Product Development CMM.

The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions. Introduction to eSCM-SP Model Course

This four-day Course on The eSourcing Capability Model for Service Providers course introduces participants to the concepts, terminology, and structure of the Model and the interrelationships of the Model components. Participants will gain an understanding of the value of the Model for service providers and clients, identify major characteristics of service providers at different capability levels, gain an introductory understanding of how the Capability Determination Process is carried out, and be given ideas for introducing eSCM-SP in their organizations. Participants who have successfully completed the course will receive a certificate of completion.

Introduction to the People CMM

This three-day course introduces those who are involved in improving workforce management practices or managing technical professionals to the People Capability Maturity Model (People CMM), Version 2.0, its fundamental concepts, and the value it can bring to organizations using it. The People CMM is a framework that organizations can use to attract, motivate, and retain talented technical staff. The practices in the model help an organization be an employer of choice and ensure that the staff has the competencies and capabilities to achieve an organization's current and future business objectives.

The course is composed of lectures and class exercises with ample opportunity for participant questions and discussions. After attending the course, participants will be able to understand the practices described in the People CMM Version 2 Framework and how these practices can be used to improve the workforce management capabilities of their organization. The course is based on principles described in ITIL's Service Support and Service Delivery books. The course prepares participants for the examination leading to the Foundation Certificate In IT Service Management.
